Happy Thanksgiving

I hope that everyone had a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiving. Emily and I enjoyed the day with both families. We got up around 7:30. We did our normal morning routine and left for my house around 8:30. We arrived at my house just in time for me to pull at the guns and for Emily to start the cooking with Trina. Some might be thinking, "What the heck is TJ going to do with guns on Thanksgiving Day?" Let me explain. Most normal families like to get all the boys together and play some football. This is not the case on our side. It is a family tradition for the Pyne/Warner family to go clay pigeon shooting every Thanksgiving day. My Uncle Kim prepares for the event by reloading at least 250 shotgun shells to unload on these clay pigeons. It is pretty comical to see eight guys side-by-side with a gun in each hand. At times it sounds like a war zone, but it is always fun to get with the cousins to do a little shooting. And other than Jesse almost shooting his dog, it was a very safe event.

Emily and I enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with my family (except for Kaycee, Taylor, and Carson because they are in New York), Kim and Kathy, Jesse and Robyn, Dale and Jenny, and Kevin and Steph, and of course Grandpa Pyne. Grandpa Pyne cooked his masterpiece-2 hams with absolutely no fat- and his deviled eggs. It is so much fun to see all the cousins, and I think the Emily is getting use the way the Pyne/Warner family celebrates the Holidays.

After dinner, we drove up to Emily's house to celebrate Thanksgiving by waiting for Jordan and his new girlfriend, Lindsay, for 45 mins. because we couldn't eat any of Jana's homemade pies until the two little love birds arrived. After eating pie, we played a "killer" game of Murder in the Dark, and Catchphrase.

It was a very good day! Em and I are extremely grateful for being so close to family.
